DID tag there is someone claiming that Christianity can cure DID… fuck off. seriously?

yes, maybe it can be a help some people cope with the reality of being DID, but an actual cure? that’s absolutely ridiculous!

not only that, but most people i’ve met with DID have been religiously abused…

Be grateful the one saying about people with DID are only people who are possessed has been deleted since this morning. Exactly why I never bother checking the DID tag anymore.

WTF. Hi there, Christians who think that Christianity cures DID. I’m multiple… and Christian! At the same time! Wow, bet that hurt your brain a little.

In all seriousness, have a bit of sense! Christianity is not a magical cure for everything. It gives those of us who are Christians someone to talk to, to ask for healing from, to find comfort and counselling in. But, like just about everything else, healing from DID (and the causes of it) takes time, work, and understanding.

You were taught to do what someone else wanted, that doesn’t mean you have to. That was the best option in that specific relationship (and probably several others), because it kept you safest.

Being yourself is so much more fun :D Especially when you’re comfortable with the other person, and know they won’t get all fussy or upset over it.
